Muhammad Diyab


Muhammad Diyab is a well-known Saudi writer and journalist.

Mshari Al-Zaydi



A Saudi journalist and expert on Islamic movements and Islamic fundamentalism as well as Saudi affairs. Mshari is Asharq Al-Awsat’s opinion page Editor, where he also contributes a weekly column. Has worked for the local Saudi press occupying several posts at Al -Madina newspaper amongst others.


He has been a guest on numerous news and current affairs programs as an expert on Islamic extremism.

Dr. Hamad Al-Majid

Dr. Hamad Al-Majid is a journalist and former member of the official Saudi National Organization for Human Rights. Al-Majid is a graduate of Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh and holds an M.A. from California and a Doctorate from the University of Hull in the United Kingdom.

Abdel-Moneim Said


Dr. Adel Monem Said is a member of the Board at Al-Ahram Foundation and the Director of Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies in Cairo. He obtained his B.A. from Cairo University (1970) and his M.A. and Ph.D in Political Science from Northern Illinois University - U.S.A. (1979 and 1982). He worked at Al-Ahram Center since 1975 as a Researcher, Senior Researcher and Head of the International Relations Research Unit. He was a Research Fellow at the Brookings Institution, Washington D.C. in 1987.

He worked as a Political Adviser in the Amiri Diwan of the State of Qatar between August 1990 and June 1993. In Arabic, he published books, articles and chapters in the world system, Arab relations with the regional and global orders, European integration, and the Arab-Israeli conflict. In English, he contributed papers, published articles and chapters in the U.S., France, Sweden and Singapore on the Middle East Regional Security, Egypt’s Political system, National Security and Arms Control Policies

Dr. Aaidh al-Qarni


Dr. al-Qarni is a Saudi-born Islamic preacher and scholar. His book "Don't Feel Sad" (La Tahzan) has sold millions world wide.

Hussein Shobokshi


A Businessman and prominent columnist. Mr. Shobokshi hosts the weekly current affairs program Al Takreer on Al Arabiya, and in 1995, he was chosen as one of the "Global Leaders for Tomorrow" by the World Economic Forum. He received his B.A. in Political Science and Management from the University of Tulsa.

Abdul Rahman Al-Rashed


The general manager of Al -Arabiya television. Mr. Al Rashed is also the former editor-in-chief of Asharq Al- Awsat, and the leading Arabic weekly magazine, Al Majalla. He is also a senior Columnist in the daily newspapers of Al Madina and Al Bilad. He is a US post-graduate degree in mass communications. He has been a guest on many TV current affairs programs. He is currently based in Dubai.

Tariq Alhomayed


Tariq Alhomayed is the Editor-in-Chief of Asharq Al-Awsat, the youngest person to be appointed that position. Mr. Alhomayed has an acclaimed and distinguished career as a Journalist and has held many key positions in the field including; Assistant Editor-in-Chief of Asharq Al-Awsat, Managing Editor of Asharq Al-Awsat in Saudi Arabia, Head of Asharq Al-Awsat Newspaper's Bureau-Jeddah, Correspondent for Al - Madina Newspaper in Washington D.C. from 1998 to Aug 2000.

Mr. Alhomyed has been a guest analyst and commentator on numerous news and current affair programs including: the BBC, German TV, Al Arabiya, Al- Hurra, LBC and the acclaimed Imad Live’s four-part series on terrorism and reformation in Saudi Arabia. He is also the first Journalist to conduct an interview with Osama Bin Ladin's Mother.

Mr. Alhomayed holds a BA degree in Media studies from King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah, and has also completed his Introductory courses towards a Master’s degree from George Washington University in Washington D.C. He is based in London.
